Aegean Medley

Bask in the beauty of Santorini’s blue-domed churches and whitewashed architecture

The mesmerizing blue waters of the Aegean Sea await you on this trip to Greece and Turkey. But before boarding Oceania Cruises' Sirena, explore Athens and the Parthenon ruins.

The first stop on this epic voyage is the coastal city of Volos. Here, you’ll peruse artifacts from the Bronze Age to the Hellenistic period at the local archaeological museum before traveling north to Kavala.

This coastal oasis is home to the Kavala aqueduct—a large, arched structure used for water transportation in medieval times. Worth adding to your itinerary is the Castle of Kavala, which offers panoramic views of the city.

Next stop: Istanbul. Formerly known as Constantinople, this meeting place of East and West is where you’ll find the majestic Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace. Another must-see is the bustling Grand Bazaar.

From Kusadasi—one of Turkey’s resort beach towns—you will have the opportunity to visit Selçuk to discover the ruins of the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Your 11-night journey will end with a tour around the Greek islands—Rhodes, Santorini, and Mykonos—where fresh seafood, blue-domed churches, and black-sand beaches await.
