Celtic Charms

Peruse the paintings in Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum

Your 10-night voyage aboard the elegant cruise ship Nautica begins in London, where you’ll have the opportunity to visit numerous iconic sites, such as Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and Westminster Abbey.

Then sail to Newcastle—a cultural oasis on the River Tyne in the northeast of England. Here, marvel at the iconic Angel of the North statue and stroll across the Gateshead Millennium Bridge.

In Edinburgh, the hilly capital of Scotland, wonder at the 12th-century castle, home to the Scottish Crown Jewels and the Stone of Destiny—an ancient symbol of Scotland’s monarchy.

Next, disembark the Nautica at Invergordon and explore the Scottish Highlands before moving on to Lerwick, the main town of the Shetland Islands, which is home to flower-filled meadows and more than 1,500 Shetland ponies.

In Kirkwall, the capital of the Orkney Islands, step back in time as you wander the halls of St. Magnus Cathedral and the nearby 17th-century Earl’s Palace.

Hopping over to the Western Isles, Stornoway, an epicenter of Gaelic culture and history, offers a colorful harbor and scenic coastal paths.

Then, discover Glasgow, Scotland’s largest city. Highlights of this stop include the magnificent Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Glasgow Cathedral, and The People’s Palace.

End your journey with a cold glass of Guinness in Dublin before heading back stateside.
