Cuba: Art, Culture, & People

Uncover Cuba's heart and soul

Come face-to-face with the lifestyle and culture of Cuba. Take a ride through Havana’s historic quarter in classic 1950s convertibles, visit a cigar factory to learn about Cuba’s famous cigar industry, and tour La Finca Vigia, home of author Ernest Hemmingway. Learn a few Afro-Cuban dance steps from a professional dance troupe and delight in a soul-stirring concert at the Teatro de Cienfuegos. Meet artist Jose Fuster at his home and art studio, the brilliantly colorful Casa Fuster, where you can see his mosaic work on all surfaces.

Allow this trip to educate you about education and healthcare in modern day Cuba. Journey out to the countryside of Pinar del Río to visit an elementary school in the village of Las Terrazas; experience Cuba’s healthcare firsthand at a maternity home where medical staff will educate you about the healthcare system; meet residents of a home for senior citizens and talk with the nuns who run the facility; tour the University of Havana campus and discuss higher education with a school representative.
