Mystical India

Ride rickshaws through Chandni Chowk market

Arrive in India’s hyperactive capital and tour Delhi. See the 16th-century Tomb of Humayun, Qutb Minar tower, and India Gate. Arrive at a Sikh temple and explore Old Delhi, visiting the Gandhi Memorial and the Smriti museum dedicated to the Indian icon. Travel to the “Pink City” of Jaipur and the village of Sanganer to see the villagers’ traditional artisanal industries. Then dine in one of their multigenerational Rajasthani family homes.

In tranquil Kalakho, embark on a camel cart safari to meet local Meena tribespeople and enjoy a traditional folk dance performance. En route to Agra, stop to see the Chand Baori stepwell with its 3,500 steps. Tour the Taj Mahal and imposing Agra Fort, both UNESCO sites. Before ending your journey back in Delhi, take an Indian cuisine cooking lesson.
