Moroccan Discovery

Ride a camel into the sunset

Take a 14-day small group journey to a foreign land, with an age-old culture and genuinely hospitable people. Begin by touring the Moroccan capital, seaside Rabat, before enjoying lunch in a private home in Sale. Stop in imperial Meknes and at Volubilis’ Roman ruins, one of five UNESCO sites on this trip. Travel on to explore Fez, popularly known as the country’s cultural and spiritual capital, with its famous medina. Pass through the Middle Atlas mountains, and embark on a sunset camel excursion to Merzouga’s breathtakingly beautiful sand dunes.

View spectacular scenery en route to Ouarzazate in the snow-topped High Atlas, including dramatic Todra Gorge. Traverse the fabled “Route of a Thousand Kasbahs” and visit scenic Ait ben-Haddou village, another UNESCO site. In alluring Marrakech, a walking tour of the medina ends in the city’s heart, Djemaa el Fna Square. The final destination: storied Casablanca, where a highlight is a visit to the magnificent Hassan II Mosque.
