The Neal-Marshall Alumni Club was founded in 1980 to meet the needs of IU alumni, including those from the African American community, and to increase participation in local and national IU alumni groups. The club is named for the first male and female African American graduates of Indiana University: Marcellus Neal, BA 1895, and Frances Marshall, BA 1919.
We are all about IU and you
Membership in the Neal-Marshall Alumni Club is open to all IU alumni who want to stay connected and help promote an awareness of the history, traditions, and legacy of African American and Black people at IU. We desire to be an alumni association that not only strengthens and unifies our community but also makes a positive, indelible impact on the world.
Stay connected
Connect with other alumni, faculty, staff, and students who share your love of IU. Help us boost IU pride, volunteerism, and engagement within our community on all eight campuses. To keep you connected, we publish periodic newsletters that are sent to all Neal-Marshall alumni. If you'd like to join the newsletter mailing list, please contact Leah McRath-Hinton at lmcrath@iu.edu.
Contact us
Share your thoughts and ideas for innovative programs or our alumni magazine, attend a club meeting, or just drop us a note about your recent career and/or personal success. Whatever you want to tell us, we’d love to hear from you!
