Since 1953, IU’s Distinguished Alumni Service Award recipients—collectively known as the DASA Club—have donated more than $2 million in support of scholarships and grants to deserving IU students.

The DASA Club Scholarship is awarded to seniors from each IU campus who demonstrate a financial need and high academic achievement. Every year, a committee of representatives from the IU Alumni Association, IU Office of Scholarships, and each of the campuses’ financial aid offices select the winners. There is no application process for the DASA Club Scholarship. Recipients are selected through a nomination process and notified of their selection via an email and letter from the selection committee.

These scholarships are awarded to students based on any IU campus based upon their academics, career goals, financial need, leadership, community service, and extracurricular activities, with consideration for involvement in activities raising awareness of LGBTQ+ issues.
