Enjoy brunch with IU in Naples

Join us for Bring On IU: Naples and enjoy a delicious Sunday brunch with fellow alumni, hear remarks from IU President Whitten, and take part in a riveting lecture delivered by Steven Webster, IU Bloomington associate professor of political science and former U.S. Capitol tour guide.

Meet our featured speaker: Steven Webster

An IU Bloomington associate professor of political science, Webster will deliver a fascinating analysis of the country’s current political culture, its partisan and ideological polarization, and the path forward.

His research focuses on the nature of political behavior and public opinion within the U.S. More specifically, he studies the forces driving mass polarization; how voters form perceptions of political actors, such as candidates, parties, and related political entities; and how signals from party elites shape voters’ beliefs and attitudes. Webster’s book American Rage: How Anger Shapes Our Politics, was published in 2020.
