Limited number of spots available for IU’s learning vacation for adults
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Mini University, an enriching week of adult learning that features classes taught by IU faculty, takes place June 12–17 on the IU Bloomington campus. Registration is open, though only a limited number of spaces remain available.
“After a two-year hiatus, we are thrilled to host Mini University 2022 in person and to celebrate 50 years of this outstanding event,” said Melissa Nam, associate director of alumni programs with the IU Alumni Association. “We have a roster of top faculty, and it promises to deliver an amazing week of learning.”
Every day, participants attend multiple classes, each about an hour long. Overall, there are more than 70 classes to choose from, and they span a variety of topics, including technology, the arts, domestic issues, education, and health.
“Think of it as being at college for a week, and you’re getting to hear about the topics the professors are most passionate about,” Nam said. “But you don’t have to worry about taking a test at the end.”
Registration is required, and those interested can visit alumni.iu.edu/miniu. For additional information, call 812-855-9335. The program is sponsored by the IU Alumni Association.
“At Mini U, there is something for everyone,” Nam said. “It is inspiring and energizing for all involved.”
