Bill Bennett has served as director of alumni travel at the Indiana University Alumni Association since December 2014. Branded as IU Travels, the travel program at the IUAA aims to bring alumni, faculty, and students together to continue their educational experience through international and domestic travel.
Bill earned a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Albany in 1990 and an MBA degree from Sage Graduate School in Albany in 1995. He has more than 15 years of experience in travel planning, having run the travel program for Monroe Bank in Bloomington, Ind., for 13 years.
Bill has led groups through more than 30 countries and 48 states, including trips to Cuba, the Galapagos Islands, and the Arctic Circle (to see polar bears). He currently serves on a multi-university advisory council for the travel companies Go Next and Oceania Cruises, and he is a member of the Educational Travel Consortium.
